Nous sommes ici!
Well after a crazy, hectic, sleepless and back-breaking week, we made it to Paris in one piece. Sailed right through customs, even though we had things to declare, it seems since we had the paperwork we must be ok. (It’s either that or they just didn’t want to deal with a harried, exhausted and confused family of five with three adolescent girls bickering the entire time! – I think we scared them!) Met the driver and loaded the van (yes, they have big vehicles here but I don’t know where they park them), squeezed ourselves into the seats and headed off to the apartment.
Ok, so it’s not the Ritz but it has 3 bedrooms and two bathing rooms (one with a bath and another with a tiny shower) – unfortunately it has only ONE toilet! Oh well – at least when we walk outside to the street and turn to the right we can see the Eiffel Tower – sorta makes up for the teensy kitchen and creaky floors!
